Festival Congress 2016

As friends of the AIF, we first attended the Festival Congress in Cardiff in November 2015, hoping to catch up with some of our clients and learn a thing or two more about the festival industry in which we are so involved. We loved it and were overwhelmed at the passion and engagement of everyone attending (even on the second

The second bank holiday in May already feels like an age ago, but we’d like to share with you some of the amazing events we were at. These 3 all sold tickets with us but also used eventree to manage applications to work or perform at the event and in the case of Pride, to manage the huge number

We've added a new feature to eventree that you might find useful. It asks people to agree to terms and conditions before they can download their ticket.

It works like this.

Terms and conditions step 1

2) Scroll down a bit further and tick 'Terms and

Vinyl We Love - Record Store Day

You may or may not know that TheTicketSellers started as a record store called Old Skool Daze many, many years ago. Since then we've got a new name, (TheTicketSellers) a new HQ and have grown to become one of the leading ticket agents in the UK.

Seeing as it's Record Store Day, we thought we'd share some of our favorite

Applications for Lambeth Country Show

We first met with Lambeth Country Show before Christmas, where we exchanged ideas about how they could streamline the process of collecting, sorting, and communicating with hundreds of applicants who come together to make this amazing 42-year old show what it is.

The most secure event ticketing solution in the world

Thanks everyone who got in touch following this April fools article below. We're glad you enjoyed the joke!

As we all know, fraud is a big concern within the ticketing industry. At TheTicketSellers we have a number of measures in place to reduce fraud, and our R&D team is always busy working on new features to completely eradicate

Nothing stops us from working

We've got exciting news about our iPhone app, Box Office which has been updated today.

How is your event selling?

How is your event selling? It's a question all event organisers need to ask themselves. You need to know at a glance if you're on track to sell enough tickets to make the event profitable, visualise the results of particular marketing campaigns and compare sales patterns to previous events.

We've recently launched two amazing new ways of viewing your event

The Day the Earth Stood Still

or: The Profound Effect of the Life and Death of David Bowie.

Living so close to where I work, I don’t have to rise from the depths of sleep till 8 o’clock. Society wakes up; people make their daily commute, take their children to school, and all the while, I remain blissfully unaware of the troubles of the

The easy way to manage meals

The fact is that when you're putting on a world-class event it takes a lot of hard work. On site there are lots of hungry mouths to feed, and making sure you're equipped to do this requires a lot of preparation in advance.

There are lots of systems which claim to make managing crew meals easier, but we believe eventree

Let's get giving

We have a little Christmas time tradition here at TheTicketSellers HQ and we'd like to share it with you.

Like virtually every business in the UK we have a Christmas tree in our office. But underneath our tree you won't find traditional presents, or even "humorous" secret Santa gifts.

Instead, we ask our staff to bring in donations of food

Our culture

A lot of people have asked what it's like to work at TheTicketSellers. So we thought we'd write a bit about it to try and explain what makes it such a special place to be.

The offices

We've blogged about our offices before, but we think it's worth saying again. They really are lovely, with as much natural light as

TTS Reviews: Holy Holy

'You're face . . . to face . . . with the man who sold the world.'

So goes one of the many iconic lyrics from David Bowie's formative years. The words echo around the hollow room of the o2 Academy main stage, hanging in the air and full of the reverb that occurs during a soundcheck. And while not quite 'face to face' with

Our work is so rewarding

At TheTicketSellers we strongly believe that the work is its own reward.

It's true.

It's really rewarding working with so many great events all year round. Because everything we do is focused on giving people a fantastic experience, we love to see the sheer enjoyment and anticipation on people's faces as they surge through the gates and into a festival

TTS Plays: Best of the West (Midlands)

We here at TheTicketSellers are incredibly proud of the musical heritage that has permeated through our hometown over the last 50 years, from the heavy guitar riffs of Black Sabbath past, to the fresh beats of modern icon Hannah Wants. The sheer number of influential artists is both surprising and staggering, and so cutting it down to the number below

Meet the team (part 6)

Oh dear, it has been a while hasn't it? While you've been sat frantically hammering the F5 key waiting for a new article on our blog, we've been all over the country attending festival after festival. But more about our outstanding work ethic in another post. For now, let's meet and greet two more individuals from our ever-growing team.

Jimmy

TTS Plays: Movie Soundtracks

You’ve spent the weekend in a muddy field, listening to music, drinking a couple of bevvies, and staying up way past your bedtime. It’s now time to for recovery; the blessed day of rest before normal life continues.

And I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing better in the post-festival lull than watching a couple

Home sweet home

We've moved offices! No, not again. We moved back in September last year, but we've only just got round to talking about it.

Why move?

For two reasons.

First, our company had previously been split between two locations. The technical team had been based in one office whilst the operations team had been based in another. They weren't even next

Greater than the sum(mer) of its parts

We are absolutely loving summer at TheTicketSellers. Perhaps not the weather, which has been unusually rubbish even for Britain. But from a work perspective things are going really, really well.

We're proud to announce that summer 2015 is our busiest ever. We're involved in so many festivals and events that it's difficult to keep track of them all. We're selling

Meet the team (part 5)

What's this? More people? More likes and dislikes? More slightly suspect film and music choices? It must be time for another meet the team!

Liz

Liz

Liz rules our office with an iron fist. Woe betide anyone who buys anything without it first being run past Liz. Once, someone didn't submit a receipt to her on time. They don't work for

What's app?

We're super excited about our new app which is due for release in September 2015. We don't want to say too much about it yet, but we do want your feedback to make it even more amazing.

If you're running an event in August 2015 which meets the following criteria:

  • At least 200 attendees
  • Based in Birmingham
  • Tickets are sold

Welcome to paradise

At 6am on 11th June, blinking in the crisp, early morning Birmingham air, our events team lugged bags of gear into the back of the X5. Despite being a decent sized 4x4, the car was soon full to the brim with camping gear, entry equipment, food, water, oh, and the team. They were off to Eden Festival where we'd been

Meet the team (part 4)

It's June, the sun is shining (sort of) and the team at TheTicketSellers is bravely starting to wear shorts and other summer attire to work.

Here are two more members of our rather fantastic team for you to get to know.
