Last week brought festival-lovers across the country more devastating news, with Nozstock being the latest event to be victim to the lack of government-backed Covid insurance. Announcing their postponement to 21st – 24th July 2022 on their website, it is clear that this decision didn’t come lightly despite it being necessary to secure the future of the festival.

Quoting the government’s failure to provide Covid insurance, the organisers have outlined that, economically, they simply cannot push on without this in place. With production costs rising every day and recent reports of increased cases causing a possible delay to the roadmap, the financial risk that comes with cancelling at the last minute could affect Nozstock's future beyond this year.

This, coupled with recent supplier issues, has created obstacles which the organisers have described as insurmountable. They are no longer confident we could deliver the quality of event that we have all come to know and love. So, for now, Nozstock’s time is up for 2021. The safety of the festival’s future is paramount and trumps the possibility of an event this year.

With Andy C, Bill Bailey, Gentleman’s Dub Club, Submotion Orchestra, Calyx and Teebee, Break and Utah Saints already confirmed to be carried over to 2022, the organisers will be working tirelessly to secure the remainder of the line-up over to the postponed event.

Although a big ask, rolling your ticket over to 2022 will help to support Nozstock and allow them to keep doing what they do best. Of course, this won’t be possible for everyone. The waiting list will also rollover to 2022, and people on this list will be offered tickets as part of the resale before they go out to everyone, so do bear in mind that any refunded tickets could be snapped up quickly.

If you do want to apply for a refund, just log in to your TicketSellers account by 26th July 2021, and follow the instructions. Otherwise, your ticket(s) will be automatically rolled over to 2022.

In the meantime, there is some positive news. Committed to bringing some form of Nozstock to your lives this Summer, Nozstock have confirmed plans for smaller, one day events which can be socially distanced if guidance requires. More details about these events will be released in the coming weeks. You can sign up to be the first to hear about them here.

Stay safe, everyone and, rest assured, we will return to the fields soon. ❤️
