There's nothing worse on site than hungry crew.
Ok, there are worse things, but you definitely, really don't want your crew going hungry if you can help it.
If you're reading this you probably already know that eventree is probably the most reliable way to redeem crew meals on site. The entire system was built over years in the mud at festivals in the good old British summer. So when you really need to feed people eventree really won't let you down.
That said, there's always been one little thing that has bothered us and that we've been desperate to improve. It's the same with other meal redemption systems - people need to bring their printed MealPass with them every time they collect a meal. Ok, this might be standard, but surely there's a better way to do things?
We think there is.
If you're using eventree for accreditation (and if you're not then you should be!) then the chances are that everyone is wearing a wristband linked to their eventree account.
Yes? Great! Now all they need to do to collect their meal is scan their wristband in the canteen. It's that simple.
No more printing meal tickets. No more waste (think of the environment because those little tickets are hard, if not impossible to recycle). No more "lost" tickets and having to re-print them.
Of course, if some people want - or need - a meal ticket then you can still print them. The system will only allow one serving per meal no matter whether the ticket or wristband is scanned, but it adds a bit of flexibility to those who need it.
Remember, all of this only works if you use eventree in the first place. But if you are, ask us about meals on wristbands - it's about to change your world!
